HOLY CRAP!
I got my usual inspection coins from Littleton yesterday and they sent me a 1986 Silver American Eagle BU with toning.
I wanted to buy it, but when I looked at the price.. $49.50!!! Screw that! I bought a 1986 SAE back when silver was in the $8.50 range for $9.00. So what it didnt have the toning. $49.50 is an total and complete raping.. Needless to say, they are getting their coins back |
Re: HOLY CRAP!
You obviously have no idea about all the time and money it costs to produce a single toned silver coin!

Re: HOLY CRAP!
The first inspection coin Littleton sent me was a 2006 SAE BU (no toning, of course). Silver was at less than $10 an ounce at the time. They wanted $25.99 for it! Needless to say, I didn't want it, and I asked them not to send anymore inspection coins.
Do they ever send inspection coins offered at a reasonable price? From their catalog prices and what they wanted for a 2006 SAE, I just assumed their prices are always high. |
Re: HOLY CRAP!
Their pricing is done by the retired Government employee who ordered those $249.00 hammers and thought it was a good deal....
Subscribe to Coin World (or read it at the library for nada) for more competitive pricing.... glta |
